FATIGUE AND DAMAGE TOLERANCE ENGINEER
ENGINEERING CONSULTANCY AEROSPACE

We are now seeking Fatigue and Damage Tolerance Engineers to join the aero-structures team of this highly respected and world-renowned provider of specialist consultancy services based in Bristol. This division of the company provides high end technical and project management services to the prime aerospace companies. They are involved in some of the most challenging and exciting aerospace projects in the world.
Successful candidates will ideally be degree qualified (min 2:1), and have experience of the technical leadership of projects to time, quality and cost objectives. Aerospace industry experience is not strictly necessary but it will be an advantage. However, a demonstrable track record in fatigue and damage tolerance experience in aerospace or other industries will be required. In addition, suitable experience in static stress analysis (metallic or composite) and/or finite element analysis would be advantageous.
Candidates must also be able to demonstrate technical awareness in the field of aero structures. Effective client management, project team leadership and communication skills are also essential. You will also require commercial awareness; adaptability and innovative thinking. You will need to show a willingness to work outside normal office hours occasionally, and flexibility for working from the office, home, and clients premises.
Ideally you will possess aerospace experience, covering aero-structures and/or aero-engines, although other relevant experience obtained in other industries will be acceptable. Preferably you will be pursuing Chartership through the IMechE or RAeS.

Some work outside normal office hours may be necessary. Travel to and from client sites and/or temporary secondment to clients offices may also be required.
All candidates must be in a position to obtain UK security clearance to BC level. Additional restrictions may apply to certain projects.
Although this particular position is based in Bristol, openings may exist at their other locations including Glasgow, Derby, Amsterdam and Hamburg
