Software & Systems Engineer - Bristol / Aerospace
End-to-End, Full lifecycle role in world class business
Perm £25k > £36k + attractive benefits
Working closely with a team or Hardware Engineers, As a Software Engineer you’ll play a key role taking full responsibility in the specification, design, development and testing of the latest ground support related equipment used in the Space and Aerospace sector.
Your experience as a Software Engineer is likely to have been gained in a small team or somewhere where you’ve gained genuine full lifecycle exposure and have worked closely with a team of hardware professionals. In this world-class software and systems consultancy you’ll be working on projects at the frontier of technology where you’ll be offered real responsibility and opportunities to develop your career.
Your profile is likely to include much of the following:
- Full lifecycle experience:
* Requirements > Development > Test
- Broad Software skillset including:
* C# and Java (essential)
* Appreciation of Embedded Software development
* Experience working from UI development to board level software
- Background to satisfy UK Govement Security Clearance
- Strong academic profile
- Knowledge of safety critical / defence / aerospace technology is an advantage though not essential
This Software Engineer role will suit a range of candidates including entry level candidates with a passion to break into the Aerospace / Space sectors, or more commercially experienced candidates who have completed a similar role or worked supporting hardware engineers on high integrity systems in a small development team.
