MI Systems Analyst -SAS- Liverpool/Northampton
Prestigious client is looking for an accomplished SAS/SQL Systems Analyst with good MI and BI reporting skills to work on several projects. You will be building reports in SAS and liaising with risk stakeholders as well as forecasting trends within the collections and credit risk arena.
There is some flexibility for the role to be split between Liverpool and Northampton with regular travel to either office.
Essential
• Able to present complex analytical concepts to all levels of the business.
• Experience/Exposure to SQL and SAS
• Able to present complex analytical concepts to all levels of the business
• Passionate about data and statistical modelling, and how this contributes to the business.
• A self motivated team player who is able to define, structure and prioritize work for self as well as others, but who also has the flexibility and capability to change priorities when circumstances dictate.
• Understanding of cause and effect methodology through hypothesis and regression testing.
• Able to perform Root Cause Analysis.
• Forecasting of trends
• Knowledge, understanding and experience of tools for analysis such as decision trees
• A good understanding of Operations and how this relates to the P&L
• The ability to understand and commission complex analysis to support strategy testing
• Experience, qualifications and other requirements specific to the role:
• Able to adapt quickly to a new environment
• Self starter who naturally assumes ownership of initiatives
• Energetic and highly motivated. Keen team player.
Desirable
• The role holder also needs a strong commercial focus and a good understanding of the drivers of payment card profitability.
• Financial Services background
• Experience of SAS to build reports
• MI/BI reporting
• SQL/SQL Server for querying servers
• Stakeholder interaction
• Payment collections knowledge and experience
• Knowledge of or exposure to key systems eg Triumph, Debt Manager, BIW or RAIN9
• The jobholder will need to have a good working knowledge of Asset regulations (including CCA and DPA)
• Knowledge of the end to end operations processes i.e. product definition, marketing, sales, initial assessment, payment decision, collections and recoveries
