Job Description
Our client is a leading inteational business to business media group focused primarily on the inteational finance sectors It publishes more than 70 magazines, newsletters and jouals and also runs an extensive portfolio of conferences, seminars and training courses. It is also a leading provider of electronic information and data covering inteational finance, metals, and commodities. Its main offices are located in London, New York, Montreal and Hong Kong.
The Colchester based division publishes acclaimed annual guides covering sectors of the global financial markets. The publications comprise of articles written by the leading practitioners in their own fields at leading inteational investment banks and law firms, and provide our extensive readership with up-to-the-minute information on the newest developments and most exotic products in the markets.
The Role.
The role involves predominantly telesales with some face-to-face meetings, selling packages of editorial space and advertising to clients including inteational investment banks, investment managers, law firms and consultancies. This involves developing and deploying knowledge of a range of aspects of capital and financial markets and the opportunity to gain experience of dealing with senior management at market-leaders in the field as well as advertising agencies and marketing departments. On a daily basis the successful candidate will also be researching the market looking for new leads and investigating potential new clients and new areas to develop.
Ideal Candidate.
The role requires a minimum of two years of experience selling to either financial or legal clients. A successful applicant will be able to build and develop strong relationships with both existing clients, including inteational banks such as Deutsche Bank, UBS, Merrill Lynch, Barclays Capital, JP Morgan and Citigroup, consultancies including Deloitte and KPMG, and top law firms such as Simmons and Simmons and Freshfields, as well as seeking out new business and developing relationships with new clients. Confident, articulate, bright self-starters will be rewarded with high eaing potential, an uncapped commission structure.
