Director - Group Head - Transport Planning and Consultancy - London
My client is mid to large size consultancy with operations throughout the UK, Middle East, America and Asia. They have built a strong reputation in delivering some of the most iconic infrastructure in the built environment and have excelled in Masterplanning for major towns and developments worldwide.
They already have an established transport planning business, but are looking to push forward with the appointment of a major player in the transport planning and economics market. They are looking for someone who has built a name for themselves operating at the highest level discussing the financing and planning of major networks in cities and in towns and who can then feed this expertise through the technical capability of the rest of the group. This person will link the strategic planners, the development planners, transport modellers and master planners. They will lead and pioneer the whole transport planning business not just in the UK, but throughout the USA, Middle East and Asia.
This is an extremely high profile role within this company and offers scope to expand and grow with the business which could result in a partnership position.
Therefore the person we are looking for must be at the top of the game with expertise in strategic consultancy and transport planning who knows the area of transport economics very well, but also has the ability to lead teams and direct projects. Therefore, they must not only be a political thinker outside of the group but within it, linking the various other divisions into the project wins.
