The Background
An industry leading manufacturing organisation whose products are well know throughout the UK are currently seeking 3 experienced transport front line managers to join their team in their Manchester based depots.
The Role
You will be responsible for ensuring hat Company products are safely delivered to customers on time and in full on the shifts for which he/she is responsible.
You will have 1 logistics coordinator reporting into you with 35 drivers under your shift therefore man management is a key element of this role.
You will be responsible for leading your team by setting clear goals, targets and expectations of team performance for your drivers / administrators. You will lead driver debrief sessions therefore communication is key.
You will ensure shift compliance with all Company policies and procedures and all aspects of transport law, the Road Transport Directive, the Working Time Directive, Drivers’ Hours Regulations and Company Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
You
You will ideally be familiar with managing teams of around 30 + in a unionised environment. Ideally you will hold a valid CPC certificate.
