Brian Boru is buried in the cemetery of the Protestant St Patrick's Cathedral. He is credited with driving the Norseman out of Ireland in 1014. The ancient cathedral is Ireland's oldest and Armagh is the ancient capital of Ulster. The area reflects 6500 years of activity with people first coming in 4500 BC, and arriving at the sense.
