Jobs in Plymouth

Plymouth has a city population of around two and 43,000 people. It was granted city status in 1928. It is home to the University of Plymouth, founded in 1992. The earliest nine settlement in Plymouth is back to 10,000 BC, with a small in each trading port located in Mount Batten. When part of the Roman Empire, this area continued its previous function of trade in tin along with cattle and hides. Historically, Plymouth has been one of Britain's principal naval dockyards and this tradition continues today. The city was targeted by the Germans during Second World War, such that two main shopping centres and nearly every civic building destroyed along with 20 schools 40 churches 3754 houses were destroyed and a further 18,398 houses were seriously damaged. Plymouth was also one of the principal staging post of the Normandy landings in June 1944.
