Jobs can be broadly split into the following areas: Hotels As a hotel employee, you will work either Front of House or Back of House. A warm personality is key to a successful Front of House career, along with a desire to provide guests with high- quality, personal service, while those who work Back of House need to be motivated and reliable to keep the hotel operating to the highest standards. Front of House People who work in Front of House departments typically have face-to-face contact with guests every day. A friendly and caring personality is important here, along with a commitment to providing guests with an exceptional level of personal service. Our hotels never close, so if you work Front of House you may be asked to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekend and public holidays. Front of House departments include: Food & Beverage - restaurants / room service / conferencing / bar Front Office - reception / guest services / concierge Spa / Recreation Back of House The Back of House departments are the engine room of any hotel. The Back of House team work hard behind the scenes to bring in business, keep the hotel maintained to a high standard and ensure that guests enjoy every aspect of their stay. From Kitchen Workers to Finance Managers there are a diverse range of roles within department that include: Finance & Business Support / Accounts Revenue Management Reservations Sales & Marketing / Public Relations Human Resources Maintenance & Engineering Kitchen Conference and Event sales Housekeeping Security Information Technology Hotel Management At the heart of every hotel is the hotel management. These are the people who steer our hotels in the right direction, inspiring our people to deliver Great Hotels Guests Love. As well as engaging their teams, a manager is responsible for ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and delivering outstanding business results. Hotel management roles include: General Manager / Hotel Manager / Executive Assistant / Manager Reservations Our Central Reservations Offices (CROs) are regional contact centres full of passionate people dedicated to delivering Great Hotels Guests Love through providing world-class customer service and sales to our customers around the world. Our CRO teams employ an industry leading sales/service process to deliver an individual customer experience to each of our guests, while delivering the best returns for our hotel partners. Central Reservations Offices They also assist our 52 million Priority Club members (regular guests who receive a range of extra benefits) around the world and our colleagues from other departments – "internal customers" – who work in our hotels and corporate offices. As the first point of contact for our guests, our CRO employees set the stage for the great guest experience.
